About Smart Casual Attire

What this site covers, who is responsible for it, how advice is sourced, and how to raise a question or correction.

Our point of view

WHY WE ARE HERE

Smart Casual Attire covers dress codes, outfit choices, clothing and care. Its guides connect everyday wardrobe questions with practical checks: what a setting requires, how clothes fit and what their labels permit. This page introduces the publication and points you to the editorial standards, contributor information and contact routes behind it.

The site covers four connected areas. Dress code guides explain what smart casual means and how it differs from adjacent codes like business casual and cocktail attire. Occasion guides apply the code to specific settings, from the office to a summer wedding.

Clothing and shoe guides go deeper on individual pieces — blazers, chinos, loafers and the rest — including how each affects formality and fit. Care guides cover washing, storage and fabric-specific handling, so the pieces you buy last longer.

Responsibility for the site is straightforward. Smart Casual Attire is published under the organization's own name, and every article carries that same publisher byline rather than individual attribution.

No separate company, team roster or named reviewers are listed here because none are part of the site's verified record. If that ever changes, this page is where it will be stated first.

The site is independent in the plain sense. There are no affiliate links, no paid placements, no advertising, and no analytics or cookie tracking. We are not affiliated with any retailer, brand or clothing company, and no piece appears because anyone asked us to feature it.

Images on the site are illustrative and generated. They convey a look or a pairing; they are never presented as photographic evidence of a product, a fit or a result.

Advice is produced through research first. We work from manufacturer care labels and guidance, published venue and workplace dress policies where they are publicly stated, and the practical constraints of fabric and construction. Where the honest answer is that it depends on the garment's label, we say so.

Corrections and questions are welcome. The working contact route is email at hello@smartcasualattire.com — include the page address and the specific claim you are querying.

A note on the contact page: the form there is a preview and does not currently send messages. Until that form is connected, email is the reliable way to reach us.

A FEW THINGS WE BELIEVE

01

How is the advice sourced?

Every guide starts with research: manufacturer care guidance for anything involving washing or storage, published dress policies where an occasion has one, and the known behaviour of fabrics and constructions. We do not present opinion as fact, and where the honest answer is that it depends on the garment's label, we say so.

02

How are guides reviewed?

Guides are checked before publication for accuracy against the sources used, for internal consistency, and for practical usefulness. The same publisher byline on every article reflects one standard of review across the site. Reviewed pages are revisited when guidance needs updating.

03

What about the imagery on the site?

Images on Smart Casual Attire are illustrative generated imagery used to convey a look or mood. They are never presented as photographic evidence of a product, a fit, or a result, and they do not stand in for the label-aware advice in the text.

04

How do corrections work?

Email hello@smartcasualattire.com with the page address and the specific claim you are querying. The claim is checked against its sources, and the page is amended or updated where it is wrong. Fixing a stated fact is treated as routine maintenance, not an exception.

05

Where can I read the full standards?

The Editorial Standards and Corrections page documents sourcing, imagery rules and correction handling in detail. The Contributors page explains how article bylines work, and the Terms page sets out the limits of the site's advice.
